Position Overview:
We are currently seeking two full-time Special Education Teachers to join our schools in Algoma, WI, for the 2024-2025 school year. Both positions involve working across two schools in self-contained classrooms, supporting students with diverse learning needs.

1. Position 1: 1st-3rd Grade Self-Contained Classroom
2. Position 2: 5th-7th Grade Self-Contained Classroom

These roles are split between two schools (0.5 FTE per classroom), providing a full-time teaching schedule.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement tailored Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for each student.
• Deliver differentiated instruction in self-contained settings for either 1st-3rd or 5th-7th grade.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to support student progress.
• Monitor and evaluate student growth, adjusting strategies as needed.
• Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations related to special education.
• Cultivate a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes both academic and social development.

Qualifications:

• Active Wisconsin Special Education Teaching License for the relevant grade level.
• Prior experience in self-contained classrooms is highly preferred.
• Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.
