Full-Time | Contract Position | Middle School

Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction for students with severe intellectual disabilities
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Work with a team to support academic, social, and behavioral development
• Foster a safe, positive learning environment tailored to student needs
• Track student progress and make necessary adjustments to lesson plans
• Collaborate with staff, families, and outside agencies to ensure student success

Position Details:

• Classroom: Middle School, self-contained classroom for students with severe intellectual disabilities
• Hours per Week: Full-Time (37.5 hours per week)
• Weekly Pay: Competitive pay, based on experience
• Location: Onsite in Rock Hill, SC
• Classroom Support: 9 students, 2 assistants, and a 1:1 paraprofessional

Qualifications:

• Required:
  • South Carolina Certification in Special Education (must be valid and current)
  • Experience working with students with severe intellectual disabilities
  • Must be comfortable with self-contained classroom settings
• Preferred:
  • Experience working in middle school classrooms
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
