Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher for a full-time, in-person position in Elmhurst, Illinois. This exciting opportunity involves teaching K-5 students in a self-contained instructional classroom across three schools. Responsibilities:

• Provide instruction to K-5 students in self-contained special education classrooms
• Travel between Jefferson, Jackson, and Sandburg schools to cover plan periods daily
• Prepare lesson plans and ensure consistency across all classrooms
• Collaborate with school staff and support student success during teacher planning periods

Qualifications:

• Illinois LBS1 (Learning Behavior Specialist) License required
• Illinois PEL (Professional Educator License) required
• Experience working with K-5 students in a special education setting is preferred
• Must be able to work in person (no virtual options available)

Position Details:

• Classroom: K-5 instructional classrooms (self-contained)
• Hours per Week: Full-Time, 35 hours per week
• Weekly Pay: Competitive salary

• Contract Duration: ASAP – May 23, 2025, with option to extend
• Travel: Daily travel between three schools (Jefferson, Jackson, Sandburg)
