Responsibilities:

  • Assess and treat students with communication disorders ranging from articulation to language development
  • Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and parents to create individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Provide direct therapy and consultative support for students
  • Manage a caseload of up to 60 students across multiple grade levels
  • Document progress and report to school administration as needed
  • Work in a fun, engaging environment focused on helping children communicate effectively

Position Details:

  • Caseload: 3-5 years (EC) and K-12
  • Hours per Week: 35 hours per week
  • Weekly Pay: Competitive pay based on experience
  • Benefits: Comprehensive benefits including Dental, Medical, Vision, and 401K
  • Contract Duration: Current school year, with an option to extend through summer school and the 2024-2025 school year
  • Interview Process: Conducted in-person for a more personal experience

Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • ASHA Certification (CCC-SLP) preferred, but willing to interview CFY candidates
  • Michigan SLP License (or eligibility to obtain one)
  • Experience working with K-12 students is preferred, but not required
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment
