We are excited to offer two full-time Special Educator positions in Somerville, Massachusetts! If you're passionate about supporting students and making a difference in their educational journey, we want you to apply.

Position 1: Special Educator (District-Wide)

• Assignments: 0.5 Reading Support + 0.5 Academic Testing for High School Students
• Hours per Week: 37.5 hours
• Details: District-wide assignments with a focus on reading support and academic testing for high school students.

Position 2: Special Educator

• Hours per Week: 37.5 hours
• Details: Full-time position with various assignments across the district.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students.
• Provide targeted support in reading, academic testing, and overall academic development.
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff to promote student success.
• Maintain accurate records and assess student progress regularly.

Qualifications:

• Massachusetts Special Education License required
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education
• Previous school experience preferred, but not required

Position Details:

• Classroom: District-wide
• Hours per Week: 37.5 hours
• Weekly Pay: Competitive

• Contract Duration: Current school year, with the option to extend for summer school and the 2024-2025 school year
