Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young learners? We are currently seeking two Special Education Teachers for elementary students in Momence, IL. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive team and work with students in a self-contained classroom, offering meaningful educational experiences.

Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction to elementary students in grades 2-4.
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
• Collaborate with aides and other staff to ensure student success.
• Manage classroom behavior and implement educational strategies.
• Support students with academic, social, and emotional development.

Qualifications:

• Must hold a PEL (Professional Educator License) and a Special Education Certification.
• A Special Education Degree is required.
• Previous experience working in a self-contained classroom is preferred.
• Strong ability to differentiate instruction to meet individual student needs.

Position Details:

• Classroom: Self-contained with two aides
• Hours per Week: 37.5 hours per week
• Weekly Pay: Competitive pay based on experience
• Benefits: Comprehensive package including Dental, Medical, Vision, and 401K plan.
• Contract Duration: September 2024 – May 29, 2025, with the option to extend for the 2024-2025 school year.
