Are you ready to make a meaningful impact in students' lives? We’re looking for an exceptional Elementary Special Education Teacher for grades 2-4 in South Hadley, MA, for the 2024-2025 school year! Step into a role with dedicated support staff and a manageable caseload, all while providing essential support to students with unique needs.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with moderate to severe disabilities.
• Provide direct instruction and manage caseload responsibilities, ensuring compliance with IEP goals.
• Collaborate with paraprofessionals, RBTs, and BCBAs to support students’ needs, including behavioral and medical accommodations.
• Attend monthly department and faculty meetings.

Qualifications:

• Active MA Special Education teaching certification; Moderate/Severe endorsement preferred.
• Prior experience with students with special needs, including nonverbal and medically fragile students, is a plus.

Position Details:

• Classroom: Self-contained with push-in to general education for part of the day.
• Hours per Week: Full-time (32.5 - 35 hours/week).
• Caseload: Up to 10 students, including 1:1 support for students as needed.
• Support: Classroom support with dedicated paraprofessionals and a nurse for medically fragile students.
• Weekly Pay: Competitive rates.
