Are you passionate about providing inclusive education to students with special needs? We are looking for a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team in Swainsboro, GA. This full-time role allows you to make a significant difference in the lives of elementary students while creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Position Overview:

• Caseload: Elementary students with special needs
• Schedule: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
• Location: Onsite in Swainsboro, GA

Key Responsibilities:

• Offer personalized support to students with disabilities within a general education classroom.
• Work alongside general education teachers to ensure students’ needs are met through appropriate accommodations and modifications.
• Design, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Promote both academic success and social development for students.
• Maintain detailed records of student progress and report regularly.

Qualifications:

• Valid Georgia Special Education (SPED) License required
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education required
• Experience with elementary-aged students is preferred

Position Details:

• Classroom Setting: Elementary school (onsite)
• Weekly Hours: 37.5 hours
• Compensation: Competitive weekly pay, commensurate with experience

• Contract Length: Initial contract for the current school year, with potential to extend through summer and into the 2024-2025 school year
