Responsibilities:
- Teach and monitor 12 students with multiple disabilities, intellectual disabilities, and autism.
- Provide support to 4 paraprofessionals assisting students in general education classes.
- Implement a functional academics curriculum tailored to individual student needs.
- Write and manage Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), including running IEP meetings.
- Support students with feeding and changing needs as required.
Qualifications:
- Must have a valid Colorado Special Education Teaching License.
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Special Education is required.
- Experience with high school students and functional academics is preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
Position Details:
- Classroom: High School, caseload of 12 students.
- Hours per Week: Full-time, 4-day school week.
- Contract Duration: Current school year 2024-2025.
- Weekly Pay: Competitive, based on experience.
