Responsibilities:

Teach and monitor 12 students with multiple disabilities, intellectual disabilities, and autism.
Provide support to 4 paraprofessionals assisting students in general education classes.
Implement a functional academics curriculum tailored to individual student needs.
Write and manage Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), including running IEP meetings.
Support students with feeding and changing needs as required.

Qualifications:

Must have a valid Colorado Special Education Teaching License.
A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Special Education is required.
Experience with high school students and functional academics is preferred.
Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.

Position Details:

Classroom: High School, caseload of 12 students.
Hours per Week: Full-time, 4-day school week.
Contract Duration: Current school year 2024-2025.
Weekly Pay: Competitive, based on experience.
