This full-time role focuses on supporting K-2nd grade students who need assistance with reading, math, and writing.

Position Details:

• Role: Special Education Teacher
• Location: Cape Elizabeth, ME
• Grade Level: Elementary (Kindergarten - 2nd grade)
• Caseload: 13 students
• Hours: Full-time, on-site
• Focus Areas: IEP reevaluations, progress monitoring, PreK transition support, academic skill-building in reading, math, and writing
• Contract Duration: Full 2024-2025 school year

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students
• Provide targeted instruction in reading, math, and writing
• Monitor and track student progress
• Assist with transitions, including PreK students moving into Kindergarten

Qualifications:

• Certification: Active Special Education Teaching License in Maine
• Experience: Experience in elementary education and working with students with learning difficulties preferred
