Job Title: School-Based Special Education Teacher
Location: Defuniak Springs, Florida
Contract Duration: February 20th – May 12th (likely remainder of the school year)

Overview:
We’re looking for a dedicated Special Education Teacher to cover a maternity leave in Defuniak Springs, FL. If you're passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with diverse needs, this is your chance to join a supportive school environment for the remainder of the school year.

Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction to a mixed-age group caseload
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students
• Adapt lessons and classroom activities to meet various learning needs
• Monitor student progress and adjust strategies accordingly
• Collaborate with staff and parents to ensure student success

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field (required)
• Special Education Certification in Florida (required)
• Experience working with diverse age groups and abilities is preferred

Position Details:

• Classroom: Mixed-age group caseload
• Hours per Week: Full-Time, 37.5 hours
• Weekly Pay: Competitive, based on experience
