Position Overview:
We are in search of a dedicated and enthusiastic Speech-Language Pathologist to join our educational team on a part-time basis. This role involves working closely with a caseload of 22 students, providing essential speech and language services. You will have the opportunity to support students in both an intensive classroom setting and through inclusion practices, making a significant difference in their communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy to 22 students with varying needs.
- Facilitate 1 day of therapy within an intensive classroom environment and 2 days focusing on inclusion settings.
- Assess student needs and develop tailored therapy plans.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to track student progress.
- Attend IEP meetings to help set and review individualized goals.
- Keep detailed records of therapy sessions and student advancements.
Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL).
- Current Illinois Department of Financial and Professional. Regulation (IDFPR) license.
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
