Job Title: Special Education Teacher
Location: Austin, TX
Employment Type: Full-Time, School-Based
Start Date: ASAP

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure the best outcomes for each student.
• Provide direct instruction and modify curriculum to meet the unique needs of each student.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress.
• Attend IEP meetings, team meetings, and professional development sessions.
• Manage and create a positive, inclusive classroom environment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
• Valid Texas Special Education Teaching Certification.
• Experience working with students with disabilities (preferred but not required)
• Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of educators, staff, and families.
