Caseload: High School Self-Contained
Hours: Full-Time, 37.5 hours per week
Onsite: Yes

We're looking for a passionate Special Education Teacher to join a high school in Red Oak, TX for the 2024-2025 school year. This full-time, onsite position will involve working with high school students in a self-contained classroom. Responsibilities:

Provide individualized instruction and support to high school students in a self-contained setting
Develop and implement personalized education plans (IEPs)
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
Collaborate with staff, parents, and other professionals to support student success
Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies as needed
Participate in IEP meetings and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations

Qualifications:

Active Special Education (SPED) Certification in Texas
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Special Education
Experience working with high school students in a self-contained classroom (preferred)
Strong communication and organizational skills

Position Details:

Classroom: High School Self-Contained
Hours per Week: Full-Time, 37.5 hours
Weekly Pay: Competitive, based on experience
Benefits: Comprehensive package including Dental, Medical, Vision, and 401K plan
Contract Duration: December 12, 2024 - May 23, 2025, with an option to extend for summer school or the next school year
