Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students
• Provide instruction to students with moderate intellectual disabilities in a self-contained classroom
• Assist with daily academic tasks and behavioral support
• Collaborate with classroom assistants and other staff members to provide high-quality education
• Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed
• Create a safe, inclusive classroom environment where all students can succeed

Position Details:

• Classroom: Elementary school, self-contained classroom with 14 students
• Hours per Week: Full-Time (37.5 hours per week)
• Weekly Pay: Competitive pay, based on experience
• Location: Onsite in Rock Hill, SC
• Classroom Support: 2 assistants

Qualifications:

• Required:
  • South Carolina Certification in Special Education (must be valid and current)
  • Experience working with students with intellectual disabilities
• Preferred:
  • Experience in a self-contained classroom setting
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with staff and families
