Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for K-2nd Life Skills students.
• Adapt teaching methods to meet students’ diverse needs and learning styles.
• Collaborate with parents, teachers, and support staff to create effective learning strategies.
• Provide a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment.
• Track and monitor student progress, making adjustments to IEPs as needed.

Qualifications:

• Valid Illinois Special Education License is required.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education.
• Experience working with elementary-aged students, especially in Life Skills.
• Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
• A passion for helping students succeed and grow.

Position Details:

• Classroom: K-2nd Life Skills
• Hours per Week: 35 hours
• Weekly Pay: Competitive, based on experience
• Benefits: Comprehensive package including Dental, Medical, Vision, and 401K plan.

Contract Duration: Current school year (2024-2025).
