Responsibilities
Develop and implement individualized education plans tailored to students with severe special needs and behaviors. Collaborate with paraprofessionals and behavior staff to manage classroom dynamics effectively. Address diverse challenges, including non-verbal communication, mobility issues, and speech delays. Monitor and document student progress while adapting strategies as needed to support growth. Foster a safe and engaging classroom environment that promotes learning and development.

Qualifications
A valid Pennsylvania Special Education Teaching License is required. A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field. Experience working with students with severe special needs is highly preferred. Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.

Position Details
This role is located in Coal Center, PA. It is a full-time position with 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday. The classroom setting involves elementary and middle school students with severe special needs and behaviors, supported by paras and behavior staff. The contract duration is for the full school year, 2024-2025, and includes a comprehensive benefits package. Virtual interviews will be conducted via Zoom for convenience.
