School-Based ASL Interpreter – Aurora, IL
Start Date: ASAP | End Date: 06/06/2025 (May extend to 06/13/2025 if emergency days are used)

We are looking for an ASL Interpreter to work with elementary students in Aurora, IL. This is a full-time, onsite position, providing interpretation services to support students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing. With an immediate start date, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in students’ educational experiences!

Responsibilities:

  • Provide ASL interpretation for elementary students in both classroom and small group settings.
  • Support students' communication with teachers, staff, and peers.
  • Interpret lessons, instructions, and discussions, ensuring students have full access to educational content.
  • Collaborate with teachers and support staff to ensure an inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications:

  • Active Illinois State Licensure as an ASL Interpreter is required.
  • Experience working with elementary students preferred.
  • Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) is essential.

Position Details:

Classroom: Elementary
Hours per Week: 5 days per week (Full-Time)
Weekly Pay: Competitive, based on experience

Contract Duration: ASAP – 06/06/2025 (may extend to 06/13/2025 with emergency days)
