We are actively interviewing experienced Paraprofessionals that are interested in working with a local school district near Northbrook, IL.

As a contract employee, you will be paid a competitive hourly rate that includes both direct and indirect services. Weekly hours each week are also guaranteed. More details about this opening are below. 

Job Specifics:

Start/End Date: ASAP / June 8th, 2023 (Client says likely for renewal for NSY, possibility of 4 hours/day summer assignment if interested as well)

Hours worked/week (excluding lunch breaks): Full Time

  • Caseload #1: 5th Grader (School recommends someone who is stronger, larger)
    Likes to elope a lot, can become aggressive (kicking, grabbing at clothes, etc.)
     
  • Caseload #2: Kindergartener
    Very quick, likes to elope (non-aggressive tendencies)
     
  • Caseload #3: 1st Grader (1:1)
    Very mild needs, behavioral support

Required Credentials/Non-Negotiables:
-Must be at least 19 years old
-High School diploma or equivalent
-Hold or be eligible to apply for an Illinois State Board of Education Paraprofessional license
-Valid driver's license and safe driving record
-Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds
-Must maintain a current certification in CPR and Safety Care, provided through Keshet
-In addition to providing classroom support, candidates must be physically able to support students who may have high energy and/or violent tendencies.
