Brian Goldstein, Ph.D., CCC-SLP is an Associate Professor in the Department of Communication Sciences & Disorders at Temple University.  He is the author of Cultural and Linguistic Diversity Resource Guide for Speech-Language Pathologists, the editor of Bilingual Language Development and Disorders in Spanish-English Speakers, was the Editor of LSHSS from 2004-2006, and is an ASHA Fellow.  In 2007, he received the Certificate of Recognition for Special Contribution in Multicultural Affairs from ASHA.

Henriette Langdon, Ed.D., F-CCC-SLP is a Professor at San José State University in California in the Communicative Disorders Department. She has 36 years of experience working with ELL students who have a variety of speech, language, and communication challenges. Her work centers on delineating best and realistic strategies to assess and work with those students as well as including other important members of the student’s life: parents, family, and teachers in the process. She has published and presented her work at various local, national, and international levels. Dr. Vera Gutiérrez-Clellen is Professor and Coordinator of the Bilingual Speech-Language Pathology Certificate at San Diego State University. Her research program focuses on the language development and disorders of Spanish-English speaking children.

Adele Proctor, Sc.D., CCC-SLP

University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Champaign, IL

Dr. Adele Proctor is an Associate Professor in Speech and Hearing Science and Project Director for the Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) graduate training program at the University of Illinois. Her research and teaching focus on pediatric TBI and multicultural issues in communication disorders. She holds a BA in English from Morgan State University, a MS in Communication Disorders from Penn State University, and a ScD in Communicative Sciences from Johns Hopkins University. Dr. Proctor’s work has been published and presented at various local, national and international levels, such as Language, Speech, and Hearing Services in SchoolsJournal of SpeechLanguage and Hearing ResearchAmerican Journal of Audiology, Brain Injury, and NeuroRehabilitation.
